COVID-19 Statement

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Sew Creative has adapted and strived to keep up to date with all of the government’s changes. Children's out of school clubs, adult classes and holiday clubs are now back up and running as usual, with social distancing measures in place. Children's parties will return once government restrictions are eased, hopefully after the Summer Holidays.

Shopping in Store

In line with government regulations, we ask all customers coming into store to shop to wear a face covering. We understand that in some circumstances, you may not be able to wear a face covering, and if this is the case, we ask that you still maintain social distancing. We have hand gel available in store and we ask all customers to use this before touching any  of our fabrics or products. We are limiting the number of customers in store to a maximum of two during our trading hours. On occasion, you may arrive at the shop to see that a sign has been placed in the window stating that we are closed for a workshop. This is a legal requirement and we apologise that if you nip into the store, you may not be able to browse. If this is the case, we are happy to serve you from the door, and our click and collect service will still be active. If you want to make sure that the store will be open for browsing, please call in advance.

Coming to a Class or Club

We are so pleased that we are now able to run classes and holiday clubs again. If you or your child is due to attend a club or class, please rest assured that we have implemented extensive safety measures to keep both our staff and customers safe. Firstly, the store will be closed during your class, meaning that no members of the public will be able to browse whilst your lesson is running. We may from time to time talk to a customer at the door, but they will not be allowed to enter. Secondly, we have increased our cleaning regime and extended it to include all tools and machines used during classes. All surfaces are sanitised before and after lessons. We have also marked out 2m spaces for each attendee to allow you your own cutting and sewing area. We ask that during the class, you remain within your area, unless using the toilet facilities.

Cancellation Policy

During the COVID-19 pandemic, our standard 1 week cancellation policy still applies for any changes. If you have booked a class or holiday club in advance and can no longer attend, we require 1 weeks notice for cancellation or changing your lesson. We understand that the government’s COVID restrictions are not always well timed, and can be changed at short notice. As a small independent business, we have struggled to survive during this pandemic and we are so pleased that we are still up and running, however we must adhere strictly to our cancellation policy during this time. If you are unable to attend a class at short notice, for any reason, you are free to offer the class to other customers. If you can fill your space, you will receive a refund or be able to re-book the session. If you are not able to fill the space, we will be unable to refund you for the lost session. It is inevitable will not be able to accommodate everybody, but we are sure that everybody understands that as a small business, this would not be financially viable.

We would like to thank all of our lovely, loyal customers for their continued and unfaltering support during this difficult time. Your positivity and understanding is invaluable and has allowed us to continue trading during this strange time.
